Jaipur... The Jewel of Rajasthan

Wow! What a day. I think I can safely say that the trip to India has finally begun.

First, and before anything else. Perhaps some special mention really ought to go to Ghada, with her premonitions about Jaipur and Rajasthan. This city is simply spectacular.

We are running on pretty poor internet connectivity right now, so I will have to save the story telling for another day, perhaps as we are flying to Darjeeling. For now, perhaps a teaser photo of the Hawa Mahal (Air Palace) taken on our first night here.

  1. Aw... even if its rainy (I am sure Jaipur is less rainy than Mumbai, which is on the fall side of this Mountain Range called the Western Ghats. So that the winds pick up water from teh Arabian Sea, climb up western ghats... the air cools down at the top and then the winds dump alll the water in Mumbai :P... .Jaipur is in Rajasthan for a reason, its a desert . )Is it hot in Jaipur ?
See if you can get a chance to visit a local market, where they sell bangles and stuf on teh streets. And dont get ripped off! .
Oh and there was a bomb blast in Delhi yesterday... so be careful.. :)
